New You!
by Gwenn Bonnell These past few weeks, I have been captivated reading Eckhart Tolle’s "A New Earth." Along with hundreds of thousands worldwide, I have also been watching Oprah’s web event with Eckhart. If you have not yet picked up the book, or watched (or listened to) the webinar, what are you waiting for? If you are taking this journey, then you know the synchronicity of having this month’s new moon in Pisces! New moon time is ripe for new beginnings, and reading this book will help you begin your personal journey to discover your authentic Self! “A New Earth” is all about being connected with all of life (we are all One) simply by allowing ourselves to BE PRESENT. Pisces is the sign of BEING, rather than doing! Pisces also supports imagination, dreams, mystical experiences, seeing the world through its own beautiful lens. In Chapter 1 of “A New Earth,” Eckhart discusses noticing the beauty around you. Take the time… even if it is a few deep breaths each day, to feel the magic around you. Especially if you feel too busy, take time for contemplation in your life! Pisces is giving all of us the opportunity to plug into the energy that encourages us to imagine, dream. And BE! Especially for our busy selves, we need to take time daily to just be… with friends, girlfriends, wives, husbands, children, all our loved ones. Pisces and Ekhart’s words encourage us to go within and connect to with our inner Divinity. Let’s allow ourselves to receive, to decompress by appreciating solitude and stillness, and to experience serenity. During the first New Earth webcast with Oprah, Eckhart explains that all creative endeavor is born out of stillness. He says, “…it’s getting in touch with
the stillness within, where there’s no mental noise,
and out of that stillness, when the time is right, sometimes
an impulse comes – a feeling, a strong sense that something
wants to be born That is so what happened when I created my Chakrativity program… and I am sure you have felt these impulses before, too! How to get in that space of stillness? Set your intention to release fear, tension, and the "to do" list. Of course, you can use EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and/or the Temporal Tap to let go of any fear, tension, and busy thoughts that you have in this moment. Affirm being gentle with yourself, and being present in the stillness. Connect with Pisces energy, which operates in the flow. Don’t try to confront or overtake anything. Let go of rigid expectations; they create stress. Be flexible - if you encounter resistance, simply stay harmonious with the moment. Easier said than done?
